CALIF. FUNERAL DIRECTORS HONOR ROSE HILLS OFFICIAL

MEFFORD RECEIVES CFDA'S TOP HONOR

The California Funeral Directors Association has named Rose Hills' Merrill Mefford Funeral Director of the Year. He received the honor at an industry awards dinner held June 19, at Universal City.

Mefford's career at Rose Hills spans 42 years. He has served in several positions leading to his current post as Assistant VP of Compliance and Regulation.

Additionally, Victor Navarro, Cemetery Superintendent at Rose Hills' Harbor Lawn Memorial Park in Costa Mesa and Melrose Abbey Memorial Park in Anaheim was named CFDA's outstanding funeral service Employee of the Year.

CFDA annually honors individuals in the association "who have made a special commitment to the funeral profession in California." Winners are chosen from a field of nominees that have "gone above and beyond his or her daily workload to contribute significantly to the success of our industry."
